What to Expect On The Day of Liposuction
We perform Liposuction out of our three California office locations (Beverly Hills, Valencia, and Santa Clarita) which are equipped with state-of-the-art technology designed to mitigate the risk of complications and maximize the likelihood of successful treatment outcomes. Unlike the harried treatment environments of many plastic surgery practices, Dr. Saadat and his well-trained team will be completely accessible to you throughout your cosmetic enhancement experience, should you have any concerns or questions.
The procedure can last from 30 minutes up to 4 hours depending on how many body areas are being operated on. The type of anesthesia will vary, with local anesthesia being used for small areas and general anesthesia being used in more extensive procedures.
Through a small incision, often around 0.4-0.8 inches in length, a blunt-tipped instrument called a cannula is passed back and forth essentially vacuuming out the fat. The cannula is connected to rubber tubing, which in turn attaches to a machine that generates high vacuum pressure.
