Brazilian Butt Lift Recovery
Aftermath
After your treatment, you will be moved to the post-op room to wake up peacefully from your surgery. Once discharged (typically the same day), you will be able to go home and recover more comfortably. You should have a friend or family member available to provide you with a ride home as you will still be under the effects of the anesthesia. Patients can expect to feel tender and slightly swollen after the procedure and you may be required to wear a presume garment on the donor area. You are encouraged to mobilize immediately after surgery to promote healthy circulation.
One of the more “irritating” aspects of recovering from a BBL is that you should not sit or apply too much pressure to your butt for the first few weeks of recovery. This is important because until the injectable has a chance to graft itself to your pre-existing frame, any strain may cause it either move into an unfavorable position or be reabsorbed by your body. You can expect some deflation as these are natural occurrences, but causing additional trauma to your butt may undo all the results that you are striving for.
